RoHS new exemptions (2011/122/EU)
February 2010 the European Commission announced at the end 2010/122/EU, new Article 39 on cadmium (Cd) of the exemption.
"39 solid-state lighting and display system for color conversion of II-VI group Cadmium LED (light-emitting area per square centimeter, Cd content of less than 10μg). This exemption will 2014/7/1 
cut-off. "
Proposal will add more RoHS restricted substances
The end of 2009, the European Parliament to present a revised report for December 3, 2008 announcement by the European Commission on the draft amendments to the RoHS -2008/0240 (COD) to be substantially revised.
This report were revised, RoHS will expand the scope of control and in electrical and electronic products to add more restrictions on hazardous substances. 
The copies of the latest revised draft of RoHS, the biggest impact on the part of the electronics industry, set out below:
1 The new Bill will cover all electrical and electronic products, but does not limit its product range. Therefore, Appendix I added the first 11 categories, "the 10 other categories not included in the electrical and electronic products", and remove the thin column of Appendix II itemized list of products. 
This is intended to be all EEE products regulated by RoHS, is not limited to those products listed in Appendix II.
(2) The draft should apply to all EEE products, not limited to certain categories, and this highlighted the EEE draft copies of the new power cord products, supplies and accessories are also subject to RoHS specifications.
3 Part B of Appendix IV to add seven regulated substances, the concentration limit of 0.1% (ie 1,000 ppm). 
The new restricted substances are as follows:
(1), brominated flame retardants
(2) chlorinated flame retardants
(3) polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
(4) chlorine plasticizer
(5) phthalate (2 - ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP)
(6) phenyl butyl phthalate (BBP)
(7), dibutyl phthalate nt> (DBP)
4 Appendix IV added a series of "electrical and electronic products in the priority hazardous substances"; these substances may cause harm to humans or the environment. After the Executive Committee will examine these "priority substances", and consider whether the restrictions placed in the list in Appendix III to phase out these substances. 
Group of priority substances as follows:
(1) arsenic compounds
(2) Beryllium and its compounds
(3), antimony trioxide
(4) of nickel oxide
(5) Bisphenol A
(6) outside of brominated flame retardants brominated organic
(7), chlorinated flame retardants and plasticizers ont-size: 10.5pt ">
Assessment of the EU RoHS Directive 2010 schedule:
May 4: The report is expected to be adopted at the Committee and first reading of the program.
May 18: Plenary meeting (tentative date)
